I started as a business coach for creatives because I felt exactly like this. Coming from the not-for-profit, cultural sector, I have always been surrounded by creatives and people with a true passion. I know the chaotic brain full of ideas, the procrastination and the tendency to undercharge and over-deliver. In 2020 I launched my coaching business because I wanted to help people like you, in a practical and supportive way, without selling false promises.
I know it takes time to build a solid, sustainable creative business, and there are no quick wins or ‘secret systems’ you should follow (stop wasting your time on those free webinars, please!). I have been where you are, and I know it can be done, with clarity and consistency. I started from scratch multiple times, and I am making a good income as an online coach, and as a practicing artist, and I don’t even work full time. I make money doing what I love, and so can you.

It does indeed exist, a creative business coach, or a mentor for creative entrepreneurs like you. But how are they different from all the other business coaches? And more importantly, is it worth investing in one?
When you find yourself googling business coaches, you are obviously looking for help. Whether it is a course, a one-off session, or a six-month 1:1 program, you know you need something to get you back on track. Or even launch your creative business properly. You probably started off with heaps of passion and energy, only to discover that it is not that easy to get a steady stream of clients, or to position yourself in your industry. How I help creatives flourish
A business coach for creatives is different from a ‘general’ business coach because they usually have a background in the creative industries, are creatives themselves, or have years of experience in coaching creative entrepreneurs. They ‘get’ people like you. I have a Masters in Art History, 20+ years of experience as a marketing and audience development professional in the creative industries, and I am a practicing artist. Having launched and owned multiple businesses online, and in-person, internationally, I have always been able to manifest a good income as a creative.
With me, you won’t be dragged into sales forecasts and other waterfalls of numbers, corporate jargon and stuff that doesn’t resonate with you. Seriously, running a creative business is not rocket science! Instead, you’ll get guidance and coaching on a level that feels manageable and supportive. We’ll dig for diamonds and find the joy.
When I work with my own clients, I want them to feel safe and at ease, and not feel more overwhelmed and stressed out than when they came to me. What does a coaching programme with me look like? It varies. Some of my clients need a lot of hand holding and practical support. This may look like working on ideal client, niche, pricing and offers. We would write a clear message, and create powerful copy for your website and socials. I normally give homework in between calls to keep the momentum going and help you implement the ah-ha moments. We work through mindset, marketing, goal setting, time management, and we will make an actionable game plan.
I also get clients who are a bit further down their journey and need a sounding board and coach for professional growth, often to do with mindset and limiting beliefs. They may want help with rebranding their business, and planning for their next chapter.
The return on investment (my 3 to 6 month 1:1 programmes are a 4 figure USD $ investment) of course is dependent on you and your commitment to put in the work. I can take the horse to water, but I cannot make him drink. We set goals, I give guidance, but I don’t tell you what to do. But I am there for you, I get the best out of you, and I care deeply about your results. I want you to have a fantastic return on investment.
I have had clients tripling their income, but I have also had clients tripling their confidence. Both are incredible results, with the latter most likely lasting a lifetime. With confidence and clarity, the clients will come.
