How to start your creative project

What is your biggest dream? What do you truly desire to manifest? You may dream of organising your own creative retreat, set up as a life coach, write a book or make a documentary. Maybe you want to leave your job and become a freelancer. Whatever it is, you have been sitting on your idea for quite a while now, and it’s time to bring it into the light. Here are some tips to start your creative project.

Detach from the millions, focus on your vision

As you probably know by now, I am not an average business coach. I don’t sell formulas or systems for you to copy and then sell the same to your own clients. Also, I don’t make millions like some other business coaches do, and I don’t promise you millions either. I am a multi-passionate creative who has manifested many of her dreams, and I want to help you do the same.

Of course, we look at income goals. But first we look at values and vision. Being too attached to financial outcome is not a great way to start a creative project. The money follows, when you have a plan and you take the right actions.

Lighting your inner fire

I am not just a coach, I am a creative practitioner myself. I paint, I sing, I am always involved in some creative or artistic project. My next dream is to produce a solo album as a singer-songwriter. How will I do that? It all starts with a vision, and then you make a plan. Rough ideas, a feeling, an inner flame that has become stronger over time. It is now time to light that fire.

The desire to create this album grew over time. I have been in bands all my life, writing songs, but always was the ‘singer in the band’. I knew there was more. So this year, I started to say my dream out loud.

More and more. It was scary at first, and then it became more real. I stumbled on an Instagram account of an American songwriting teacher (Andrea Stolpe), I loved her content, and in September I invested in a song-writing retreat in England led by her. It was magical. The ball was starting to roll forward. I felt no longer alone on my quest.

Then, in October I hired a local a producer and co-creator, and I am now about to embark on this exciting creative journey.

So I had a vision.
I started saying it out loud.
Then
I took inspired action.
I invested in my dream.
I started building a team.

Let go of fear

But this didn’t happen overnight. I was feeling overwhelmed for a long time, had writer’s block and felt creatively stifled, not the least because I was in the trenches of motherhood. I wrote a song every two years. Until I took that first step, and I got things moving. I wrote six songs last week.

Perhaps you are walking around with a dream too, a vision, but you don’t know where to start. Too many ideas, overwhelm, a niggling fear that it will all fail and it was a mistake. Maybe you think staying put is the safest decision.

Let go of that fear. You are more than capable to move mountains! It doesn’t immediately have to be your main income, either. It can grow. And I can help you on your way.

Remember: Vision, talking about it, having a plan, taking action, investing in it (time or money), and getting support.

Power up for a creative year

Get clear on that vision. Write it down. What does it look like, feel like? What is the result you want? Then start talking about it. Get it out of your head. This is essential in order to start manifesting it. The universe listens! Keep your eyes and ears open. Opportunities will arise. You will meet people who open doors.

Take action. Things will start flowing, and you will soon see results.

How about we sit together and take that first step? Create clarity, and make an action plan? 2025 is your year, ! Don’t sit on that idea any longer.
